Description
This poster is one of a series of seven posters advertising popular New England travel destinations. Artist Ben Nason’s aim was to create a powerful sense of place as a way to sell railroad tickets. Here he uses bright colors to depict quintessential elements of Cape Cod including a lighthouse, ocean and village scene. These posters were distributed to train stations and travel agencies from 1941 to the mid-1950s. “As found” condition with creasing and edge tears. A great piece of history to hang in your New England home!
